Ana at reception made a difficult situation easy for us. My wife is older and has claustrophobia, so she can't take elevators; carrying luggage up stairs is hard for her too. We always look for a first-floor room, but our original one-night booking for February 8 was in a residence apartment on the third floor, with breakfast on the ninth. Ana understood right away and moved us to a first-floor room in the AC Hotel by Marriott. She even offered to bring breakfast to us herself so my wife wouldn't need to climb to the ninth floor. We were very grateful for her practical help and the care she showed.

We were there for three nights as a group. The dinner portions were closer to a snack than a meal, and the food was generally below average. We got a small plate of cold cuts to start; the main was very basic, while dessert was probably the best course. There were waits of over 40 minutes between plates. The rooms look nice, but they're really small for two people and there's nowhere to put a second suitcase. Breakfast was a very basic buffet.

The central location is convenient, but our group stay was a poor experience. The individual rooms were too cramped for two people with suitcases. I noticed a connecting door to the room next door, which might work for a family, but there was little space in our room on its own. Breakfast in one of the ninth-floor restaurant areas, the one by the meeting rooms, was a real ordeal. There wasn't enough room to sit or move around the buffet, especially with groups trying to eat at the same time. Staff were too few to keep up, and we waited at least 10 minutes for empty containers to be refilled, despite the hotel knowing how many guests to expect. Dinner was worse. We were given a set meal with no choice between even two options, and the staff were rigid when people needed a solution. I was among those who didn't get a proper dinner. The gaps between courses were enormous, and nothing changed over the three days even after we'd complained to our group leader. The tiny, gourmet-style portions came without the taste, imagination, ingredient combinations, or service you'd expect from a gourmet restaurant. I would have given the service zero stars if I could.

The rooms are really nice and have everything you need. I liked the hotel, but I wish breakfast were included for lifetime titanium elite members, as it is at all the other hotels. Also, after correcting my breakfast comment, I have to say it isn't worth 25 euros. The area gets extremely crowded, and the way breakfast is served makes it unpleasant.

We really liked our stay. The hotel was very clean and fully equipped. There was a hole in the glass partition between the bedroom and bathroom, which we couldn't make sense of. The elevator also seemed to have software issues and was constantly busy, so it was a problem if you were in a hurry.
