We were a party of around 10 or more and rented nearly the whole building. The top floor was attic-like but very well maintained, with the space creatively adapted to fit so many people. I was amazed by how creatively the owner turned an old house into stylish accommodation.
The building was extremely noisy. You could hear every footstep from the other tenants. The cleaning lady was charming and dedicated, and even carried our suitcases downstairs, but the manager spoke to me like I was a dog. I told her I'd paid a lot for this dump. We'd booked for three people, but there was only one chair. I had to take a small one with a crack in the middle from the landing. There was no table, just a little desk, and no tablecloth or napkins, although the listing said linens were included. The second bed had no sheets and a rock-hard mattress. I slept very badly. There was no door between the bedrooms or between the bathroom and the room, and the bathroom had no towel rack or light above the sink. After drying off, there was nowhere to put a towel, and on a four-night stay I couldn't just throw it on the floor. There was a toilet door, which surprised us, but no toilet paper holder, so you had to contort yourself to reach behind you. Even the "cabinet" was rubbish. The "shared" kitchen was astonishing. No microwave, just a kettle and a filter coffee maker, without any filters or coffee in the cupboard. Who's supposed to go buy those as soon as they arrive, possibly before the shops open? There was no hot water, and washing up with just two small dish towels and two tiny teaspoons for the shared kitchen was quite something. The Wi-Fi code posted on a door didn't work. I wouldn't recommend this dump.
The location is great, but the apartment was a disaster. It was up on the third floor of a building that seemed charming at first, though it didn't live up to that impression. The spiral stairs to apartment 17 were extremely narrow and steep, and felt a bit dangerous to climb. There weren't any kitchen utensils. The bathroom was bizarrely squeezed into the living room, with a makeshift glass door that had gaps everywhere. A rope served as the latch. It had no electricity of its own and used the living room lights instead, because the walls didn't reach the ceiling. I've never seen anything like it.
The room is comfortable and pleasant, and the location is great, fairly central. It has heating, so it's warm during winter. But the space is quite low, so anyone over 1.70m won't have much luck. There are several stairs to reach the room, the toilet has no privacy, and the sound insulation isn't good. I'd recommend it only for sleeping one or two nights.
The beds are comfortable and the location is ideal. Cleanliness was adequate. Still, this apartment is spread over two levels, with stairs, and the bathroom is awkward. The ceiling is under 1.65 meters, getting into the bathtub is difficult, and there's no shower. You're bound to bump your head. It's not suitable for people with reduced mobility. The rental faces a pretty square lined with restaurants, so keep that in mind if noise is a concern. There's no air conditioning, just a small fan.
