Hotel Campanile STRASBOURG - Lingolsheim

The meals were small and plain, and the dessert was dry with watery sauce. The bathroom had bugs, the door wouldn't close properly, and the lighting was awful. We also struggled to figure out how to use the shower. My children could get into another room without a key card, and the walk to the room was small and uncomfortable. Three stars would be a very generous rating.

Parking is free, breakfast was nice, and the staff were polite and helpful. The rooms are a good size and clean. But there seems to be no sound insulation at all. We could hear every noise and every word, even shouting, from neighboring rooms and the nearby street.

The only good part was the restaurant team, who were very friendly. Everything else was terrible. We booked two rooms but were charged for four, and so far we've had no luck getting our money back. It's difficult to reach anyone, and even when someone answers the phone and admits there was a mistake and a double charge, they can't help. The rooms were outdated and smelled bad. The entrance gate wouldn't open, so we had to drive through the exit. One bedroom's lock didn't work, and we slept with the door open. I hope someone will respond to this review and refund us.

The little restaurant was a nice feature, with good food and very good service. We found the stay very good value and would definitely return. Once we located the hotel, we were very happy there. The room was clean, the bathroom was a good size, and the bed was comfortable.
