Residence Inn by Marriott Strasbourg

The room was clean and cozy, and felt more like an apartment than a hotel room, with everything we needed. The location is great, breakfast was good, and the hotel gave us a sense of safety. There’s free parking as well as a public paid garage with security cameras. The staff really made the stay: the girl who checked us in was warm and kind, gave us a map of Strasbourgh and explained where to go, what to try and how to get around. The lovely woman at the beautiful bar was just as nice. She recommended traditional Alsacien wine, then wrote down the names of the wines we tried so we’d know what to buy. Thank you again, such a welcoming place!💕

The studio was clean and as booked, and the hotel works fine for a short stay. Wacken tram station is just a five minute walk away, making it easy to get to the city center. The rooms aren’t cleaned during the stay. The breakfast was acceptable, though the restaurant on the ninth floor is too small for all the guests from the two hotels that use it.

Breakfast was amazing, with tables available and the food replenished often. The rooms are large and spacious. This Marriott is a great base for exploring Strasbourg, even though it’s outside the city center. The tram beside the hotel is easy to use and reasonably priced for trips to the old town.

We stayed for seven nights and really enjoyed it. The staff were all polite and helpful, and breakfast had lots of choices with plenty of food. There’s a laundry room, and you can buy washing tablets at reception. The location was very convenient for the tram and a small supermarket. The room was very clean, but it was hot for the first few nights because the air-conditioning wasn’t working, so we had to open the window.
