ibis Paris Pont De Suresnes

We checked out and left within two hours, and the hotel refused to refund us. Please, I ask management to return our money. The room was nowhere close to Ibis standards and nothing like we expected. It was our first Paris trip after a 13-hour drive. A family friend had recommended the Ibis chain based on a lovely stay at a different Paris Ibis. Finding this hotel's entrance was a struggle: eventually we learned it was on the first floor, reached by lift or stairs. The stairwell door was covered in dust, as if it hadn't been cleaned for ages. Reception was very polite and check-in was quick, but the room was far too cramped to move around in, and didn't suit a couple or a couple with a child. It smelled stuffy, and the tiny toilet wasn't clean. Your knees touched the door when sitting down, and we had to wipe strange marks off the toilet door with our own surface wipes. We couldn't stay in that depressing, dirty prison cell any longer.

There was no free parking, despite that being listed on the booking page. We ended up paying €20 per night for public parking some distance from the hotel, which made handling our luggage with a small child especially difficult. I had chosen this place specifically because the page said parking was free. We paid nearly €200 a night, yet the room didn't have an electric kettle, mini fridge, or tea and coffee facilities. With our 11-month-old daughter, we needed to boil water for formula. Staff offered no help, so we had to buy a kettle at a nearby shop. The stay wasn't worth the cost, and I wouldn't recommend the property. I hope Accor makes the information on its website accurate and clear so other guests don't have the same disappointment.

The room was small, but clean and quiet, and the Wi-Fi worked really well. Breakfast was very good, with a nice range of fresh food. It's good value for the price and well placed for visits to Paris and Suresnes. The staff didn't speak much English.

I've stayed here three times over the past two years. It's a good choice for a short stay, but the last two visits were very cold at night because the heating was off throughout the hotel. I asked several times if they could turn it on, but I guess it was controlled centrally and staff didn't do anything.
