Maeva Particuliers - Résidence Port-Bourgenay

We loved the pool: the water was just the right temperature, there’s a separate area for adults, and the slides were a hit with the children and well supervised. Our renovated apartment had a lovely view of the golf course and harbor, a nice setting for an evening walk. The residence is peaceful and family-friendly, with activities for all ages, from themed evenings to mini-golf, tennis and ping-pong. You can get to the beach by bike in 7-10 minutes, or go on foot or by car. We had a great stay at this holiday village and can’t wait to come back.

The little village is green, well laid out and very relaxing, with a friendly feel like a Pierre & Vacances resort. There’s a lovely pool, a playground, a lake and mini-golf, and the shops are a 12-minute walk away. We stayed for two weeks on the ground floor of the Hermitage building, overlooking the golf course, in this beautiful estate that’s being renovated. Our apartment was comfortable and well equipped for four, but felt a bit tight for that many because storage was limited. It was quiet and pleasant. There’s no bike shelter, so people often lock their bikes to ornamental trees.

The apartment was small but clean, and on departure we only had to clean the kitchenette. The welcome was friendly, but we felt very far from everything. It took 20 minutes to walk to the small pool, then another 10 to reach the larger one with the slide. There’s no indoor pool or entertainment, so it seems better suited to golfers and people looking to relax. There aren’t any shops nearby either. A real shame.

The staff were lovely, and there were some nice activities, with beautiful big pools including one that was heated. But cleanliness was the main problem, and we were quite far from everything. There were strange creatures in the room, some equipment was damaged, and I found hair on my pillow when we arrived. It was a pleasant stay in some ways, but the cleanliness really let it down.
