Le Talluy

We only stayed one night while traveling through France, but the room was huge, very clean, and nicely decorated. The location was great too. We arrived too late to try the restaurant, which was a shame. The only small issue was that the EV charger wouldn't charge our car for some reason. We found a public charger very close by instead. We'll definitely come back.

We had a lovely lunch there. The hotel looked really nice too.

Our room was huge, with plenty of space for two adults and our two medium-sized dogs. We stayed just one night as a short stop on a road trip, and it worked out great. We had dinner in the room, and that was really good too.

The room was a good size, with a modern bathroom and a separate toilet. I spent one night at Le Talluy, the former religious school, and initially enjoyed the stay. But the restaurant menu was only in French, and the choices didn't suit our tastes, so Le Talluy loses a star for that. When my wife and I checked out, we handed our key to a man at reception. He asked if we'd eaten at the restaurant the night before. We said we hadn't, and he told us there were no extra charges on our account. Since we'd booked and paid for the room in advance through a respected online booking service, we left thinking everything was settled. Later, the hotel's response to my review pointed out an outstanding fee. They hadn't contacted us about the supposed error before I read that response. Maybe this happened because of inefficient practices by the hotel and its staff, but the way they communicated the issue only reinforced my impression of poor practices. We're happy to pay what we owe. It's not our practice to behave in the way the massively inefficient management and staff suggested. Still, based on this exchange, I'd tell travelers looking for a place nearby to keep driving. I'd rather stay at another hotel, a B&B, or even a campsite. If there were no other options, I'd sleep in my car rather than be treated this way.
