Hôtel Kennedy Parc des Expositions

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had in France. There wasn’t a single car in the parking area, which made me suspicious from the start. Two people who looked dodgy were hanging around the entrance and gave me a filthy look, as if I were trespassing. The reception area smelled strange, and I had to wait a while for the receptionist to show up. He seemed like he couldn’t be bothered, then was rude and unhelpful. When I said there was a €5 dog supplement, as the notice board stated, he became hostile and snarled that only small dogs were allowed. I couldn’t find that restriction anywhere in the hotel information. When I said I’d go elsewhere if dogs were a problem and turned to leave, he got confrontational and aggressive, then shouted abuse at me in Arabic. If he’s the owner, he deserves to go bankrupt. If he’s an employee, he should be sacked immediately. His attitude was disgraceful. Avoid this place at all costs!

The rooms are basic but clean, quiet, and convenient. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and clearly motivated.

It’s a small hotel that’s good value for money. The owner and staff are very polite, and breakfast is small. The beds and pillows weren’t quite right for us, but they were okay.
