The garden was so peaceful, with flowers and a vegetable patch, and breakfast was lovely: fresh bread, croissants, and eggs from Jacques's own hens. Jacques even put the rugby match on for my husband and watched it with him. We also met a really friendly couple who helped translate between us and Jacques. With the village festival on and the restaurants closed, they made us a lovely meal. I wish we'd had more time there. Jacques was very welcoming, and when I realized I'd booked the wrong dates, he called as soon as he got our email and sorted everything out.

The garden is beautiful, and the place has a really relaxed feel. The accommodation was good, and Monsieur Jacques is a great host. His homemade confitures are delicious. Definitely recommended!

The rooms were clean and a good standard, though we were lucky to get in, so I'd book ahead. The host was really friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived.
