Domaine Les Granges

After we checked out, an email said they had already charged my card twice because we’d used two bedrooms and two toilets. I asked for the money back, but they called it a cleaning fee for two rooms. We did use two beds, though we only sat on one and had messed up its blanket. No one had told us there would be an extra charge. If they had, we’d have asked for the one bedroom house we booked, which we saw was still available the next morning. We’d booked that house for one night, but arrived to find no staff there. Someone gave us directions over the phone to a different house with three bedrooms that looked completely different from the one we’d reserved. Nobody explained the change during our stay, so we could only guess they’d put us in whatever was available. Would you be happy staying somewhere that leaves costs unclear, then takes extra money from your pocket the next day? It felt like a low season trap: get customers in with a cheap booking, then charge them double.
