Residence Hurlevent gave us a peaceful, restorative break during our time in Guadeloupe. We stayed four nights and loved being up high, with a great view and a fresh breeze, away from the cramped town center, especially in the hot, dry weather. The hotel feels beautiful and cozy, and everything is within walking distance. Renting carts right there also saved us time. The island is easy to get around and the scenery changes so much. Definitely worth seeing.

The balcony had a fantastic view, and the room was laid out well. Service was great, and there's a handy little kitchen for making something simple. The pool was nice and cool when it got too hot, with sunbathing there if you started feeling chilly. Pack plenty of sunscreen.

Everything was tidy and clean, and the balcony looked out over the lovely marina and the rest of the island. Great hotel with a magnificent view. For me, Terre-De-Haut doesn't get better than this place to stay.

The hotel staff were polite and attentive, but the cleanliness was awful. There was a black layer of grime on the bathroom tiles, and the room still isn't cleaned daily. Maybe that's why the place is so dirty. Really disappointing.

We booked a suite four months in advance, but were given a regular room for the same price. We had to cancel right there and had trouble getting our money back. We went elsewhere, to Hotel Kanoa, and it turned out to be a blessing: right by the water, with great service and a great view. We'd highly recommend it.
