Farmhouse in Pyrenees With Pool

The meals waiting for us when we got back from our morning hikes were such a lovely touch. I’ve never had that kind of service elsewhere. We spent May 2nd to 9th in Terrou with our hiking group of 46, and it was the best trip we’ve ever taken, even though Cap France has never let us down before. Our room was in the village’s charming old schoolhouse, and the setting surrounded by nature was beautiful. The Cap France team organized everything so well: hikes in the mornings, visits in the afternoons, and great evening entertainment. We also really enjoyed the wellness area and swimming pool. The staff were warm and efficient. Christina, our guide, deserves a special mention for finding wonderful hikes and beautiful places to visit, always with a great sense of humor. We ate very well too, thanks to the excellent kitchen team. There was even a pastry chef making bread and croissants in the morning, as well as desserts. Even with the rain, we had a wonderful week. The excursions were led by Emma, who was truly lovely, and our dog was spoiled too, even getting taken for walks while we were away on day trips. The staff were professional, friendly, and kept the rooms clean. There’s a very family-friendly feeling throughout the place, including from the management, and the meals were excellent. A fantastic holiday village.

The homemade food was a real treat, from the bread and cakes to the preserves and jams, all made with local products. The location in the middle of a village felt unusual in a good way, and we had a great time at Le Terrou. Jean-Michel Groult was hilarious, he could easily be a stand-up comedian. The whole professional team who welcomed us was amazing too, so kind, helpful, and ready to do whatever they could to make us happy. Christina made the week especially enjoyable and memorable for our group of 46. I had a wonderful week in the village, with fantastic staff, an exceptional guide, and packed lunches prepared with real care for our breaks. I’d highly recommend it to hikers. Assunta
