Au Bon Logis

We chose this place for a week and loved how peaceful it was, tucked into the greenery on a hill in Thannenkirch, about 600 metres from the village. There are marked trails right from the house, including routes up the mountain behind it and toward the ruins near Ribeauville or the fantastic Koenigbourg castle, so it makes a lovely base for walks and excursions. Our little ground-floor apartment is in a charming three-storey house. It had everything we needed, with a properly equipped kitchen, a comfy double bed and a bunk with two single beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a sink and shower, and another with the toilet. We also made good use of the pretty garden for meals outside. A very sweet kitten would pop by now and then, too. The owner was so kind and helpful without ever being intrusive. They even brought us a tray of tomatoes and fruit. I'd highly recommend staying here if you enjoy a quiet place surrounded by nature.
