We had dinner here with two families. It’s an easy place to spot, with red colored cows out front. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, and the traditional setting was cosy. There’s shaded outdoor seating under big trees, nice decoration, and a cozy interior too. Prices were fair. Highly recommended! They rent rooms as well.

The only reason I can think of for giving a star is the lovely chambermaid. The family-run staff were rude and acted like they were doing us a favour. The breakfast was a shambles, the rooms falling apart, and the food well below par. More than half the mussels in my Mussels Pot were closed. The pizza was a soggy mess, and don’t order the “tempura prawns”. They came in the thickest batter ever and hadn’t been cleaned before cooking, such a waste of money. I’m surprised this hotel scored so highly. Folks obviously don’t travel much. It’s in a good location, and the restaurant has so much potential. Very sad. Let’s hope it improves.

The atmosphere is magnificent, the dishes are amazing, and the service is impeccable. I’ve been coming here for years and always have a great time. If you want good food without fake pomp, this is the place!

We stumbled on this charming Italian restaurant on our way to a pricier stop. It felt like a long-running family place, full of locals, regulars, and visitors. Loved it.
