Brit Hotel Paris Orly

The room was unbearably hot at night, over 25 degrees, because the air conditioning wasn't working anywhere in the building. There was no explanation or fix, and I slept terribly. The night staff couldn't understand English, the Wi-Fi was unusable, and breakfast was limited, though not bad. When I raised the problem, the response was the usual "that's not true," as if I had nothing better to do than invent a story about a bad hotel. Two receptionists had apologized and acknowledged it, but the management response didn't offer an apology or a solution. Classy.

The bathroom was superb, and both it and the room were clean and comfortable. The reception staff, including the hotel manager, were really nice. I stayed for two nights with a friend and we had a good time. Breakfast wasn't really for me, even though there was a variety of food, since I'm not much of a breakfast person. I'd definitely stay again. Great customer service in a clean hotel, you can't beat that.

The rooms looked modern and were clean, and having the parking garage was handy. But the slow sink and failed Wi-Fi were real problems. After shaving or brushing our teeth, the sink would fill up and take over an hour to empty. My wife needed Wi-Fi for important work video calls, but it didn't work. She showed Elimane (front desk rep), who couldn't explain it; he tried his own phone and the hotel computer and had the same trouble. I brought both issues to Mr. Bernard Sourmail (manager), who said he'd follow up, but never did. I sent another email and got no reply.

The lounge was charming, done in light pink and grey, with a bar, piano and big TV. The people were really nice, and the wine was good. Our room was spotless and modern, with a little kitchenette and fridge, a lovely new bathroom, and a large lit closet. The area wasn't great and felt a little far from everything. We got up early one morning to find the front desk unattended and the door locked, so we left a note and went out the back. We ordered two pizzas downstairs: one was still frozen in the middle and the other was badly burnt. The employee seemed nervous, so maybe he was new, and honestly burnt pizza isn't the worst.
