We hadn't planned to stop, but bad weather brought us to Thionville for the first time. It’s a small, old city beside the moselle river, and there are several restaurants around the old city Square. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned but renovated, and the staff were super friendly. It has 47 rooms, from standard to family and deluxe. We paid 106 Euros for a family room for two adults and one child, including two buffet breakfasts. Decent prices, and a pleasant short road stop close to the highway heading south. Enjoy!

The rooms were decent and the price was reasonable, but a few things let the stay down. Renovations meant the breakfast room was unavailable, so we had to eat on our bed without a proper table. The doors squeaked badly and did little to block noise. The desk manager also refused to speak any language other than French.

For the price, the room was excellent, clean, and had a nice view. The bathroom was clean and fairly modern too. The hotel is just over the pedestrian bridge from the train station and close to the centre. Luxembourg and Metz are within a 20-minute ride, which makes this a good place to stay.

The room was clean and new, and everything else was good, but I couldn't rest properly because the pillows were so cheap. I woke up with a headache after sleeping on one all night. This hotel really wasn't restful for me.

The location is perfect, central but quiet, and there’s free parking out front. The rooms are clean, the reception staff are friendly, and the price is good.
