Maurice and Claude, the host family, were so kind and friendly. We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the French Alps, with beautiful views of the mountains, valley, village, and forest all around. The setting is 850m above sea level, and the wooden building is 246 years old, built in 1772. Breakfast was delicious and excellent. Jin Kim (from Korea)

Breakfast was hearty and delicious, just right before a day of hiking, and Claude and Maurice were pleasant, attentive hosts. The chalet sits high above Thônes and has magnificent mountain views. The way up is a small, rocky, winding path, so keep that in mind. Dogs are welcome too, and Ouka, a friendly four-legged host, is there to greet them.

After a long day of walking or sports, this is a welcoming place to rest and recharge. It’s set apart from other houses, and the welcome is warm with attentive service. Breakfast is generous and delicious, a great start to the day.

We wanted a peaceful stay, and the chalet and its setting gave us just that. Claude and Maurice warmly welcomed us and were incredibly helpful with all our questions, whether about exploring the region, restaurants, or other amenities. The hearty breakfast set us up well for the days ahead. Thanks again for such a lovely stay.

The quiet, with nature all around, was a real bonus. The owners were friendly and welcoming, and the chalet was lovely with magnificent scenery. Having a generous, delicious breakfast on the terrace overlooking snow-capped mountains felt magical. Highly recommended!
