Camping Saint Disdille

There’s a well-stocked supermarket and a small restaurant on site, with a bus stop right outside running regularly to the city center and port. The campsite has lake access, large pitches and modern, very clean facilities. There’s plenty more too, including barbecue areas, playgrounds, table tennis and an archery range.

For 2 people with EHU, we paid €44 for 2 nights using the ACSi card. It’s a huge site, and the many facilities are kept in great condition. We liked the restaurant and shop, and all the staff were super friendly. The website gave the impression that lakeside pitches and activities were available. In reality, it’s a short walk across the road, through a car park and down some steps. Still, I’d highly recommend the site.

The nature reserve was a special find, and the lake is just a short walk away. We’d expected the campsite might feel too large and busy, but the organization kept things calm. It was never noisy, and the ongoing maintenance and cleanliness reflected well on management. Thank you.

We ran into transport problems that were covered by the cancellation insurance we’d bought. They then asked us for documents we couldn’t possibly provide so they wouldn’t have to refund our money. We tried our best to supply what they asked for, but after requesting the documents, they stopped replying to our emails. Don’t buy their cancellation insurance.
