La Halte du Pelerin Chambres d'hôtes

Breakfast was homemade and delicious, and our host kindly let us come a little earlier so we could make the most of our day at Puy du Fou. That thoughtful flexibility, along with his warm welcome and attentiveness, made a real difference. We stayed two nights, and the spacious, spotless, comfortable rooms worked very well for our family. The peaceful setting was just right, and the property is well placed for a day trip to Puy du Fou. We’d happily return to explore more of the region and its activities.

We had a lovely stay at this gîte and met some wonderful new people. Marie Paule was welcoming, attentive and always available. The meal made with produce from the garden was excellent, and breakfast was generous. We especially loved the zucchini, lemon and honey jam with the homemade brioche. Thank you for your kindness, Marie Paule. This is an address we won’t forget.

Dinner was hearty and all homemade, prepared with care. We enjoyed the meal and a lovely evening chatting with the other guests. In the morning Marie-Paule had a delicious, generous and varied breakfast ready for us too. This was our first stay at La Halte du Pèlerin bed and breakfast, and a wonderful discovery. Marie-Paule welcomed us warmly, and we felt right at home. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the peaceful natural surroundings were exactly what we needed. The breakfast was just right, with homemade bread, brioche, cakes, yogurt and jams. Special mention for the cookies, which delighted the younger ones and the not-so-young ones too. We had a lovely family stay over the first May weekend. The hostess gave us an especially warm welcome, and the rooms in the beautifully renovated building were spacious and well soundproofed, with a tasteful, authentic feel. We highly recommend it and will probably be back.
