The staff were wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The massage therapist wouldn’t work on my injured leg, though, which was the whole reason I booked the massage. The location gets three stars from me. It’s near the shops and right next to the lift to the bus stop, but unlike most other CGH places, this building isn’t ski-in/ski-out. The spa facilities were poor: often out of service, and even the ones that were working didn’t work well. The sauna never really got hot, and the jacuzzi was lukewarm, with the jets in a useless spot. Getting ski gear around was awkward too. The ski locker is down a flight of stairs, and the boot room is separate from the ski room. Whoever planned that didn’t seem to know what skis look like. The garage spaces fit two cars side by side only if nobody opens their doors. The apartment layout was another problem. We had one fixed double, a room with a double bunk bed (one double above another), and a main bedroom with a double that splits in two. Why not make them all doubles that can split, so guests can choose double or twin? The kitchen was rubbish. Its tiled worktop is uneven and hard to clean if anything spills, and there’s barely room to prepare food. I had to sit at the dining table to chop anything, and there was hardly any storage for a week’s groceries. The wifi was completely unusable: incredibly slow, kept logging us out, and seemed artificially speed limited. I couldn’t access the Amazon app on wifi, even though Facebook videos played. Won’t stay here again.

The apartment was outdated and in poor shape. Nearly every chair was falling apart, the door threshold was broken, the table was stained, there was blood on the bedcover, and the place was dusty and dirty. Some kitchen items, including a frying pan and pot, were damaged. One toilet smelled awful, though they did fix it. For what we paid, getting just one roll of toilet paper for four people at arrival was ridiculous. I’ve never had to buy toilet paper during a hotel or apartment stay before. The towels weren’t changed during the stay, and everything like towel changes and bath suite cost extra. The single beds were narrow, the mattresses uncomfortable, and I ended up with back pain. The jacuzzi was so cold you could only stay in for a couple of minutes before feeling ill. My niece got sick. They said the water was 28, and it was measured there at our request. It was 28°, not close to the 32° or 33° they claimed. To reach the pool area, depending on your room, you may have to go through cold corridors near the building exit. Finding your way around was a pain. The corridors and lifts are a labyrinth, and every person I met seemed lost and asking for directions. The garage felt like a dungeon, as did the ski rack and boot warmer room. The boot room didn’t dry the boots enough. I could keep listing things. This was the most overpriced hotel/apartment I’ve ever visited. It doesn’t feel like four stars, and I’d be cautious even calling it three. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! Response to the residence: Aren’t you marked as a 4-star Residence? That’s what I expected, not five, as your comment said. Five stars is a completely different league. It shouldn’t matter whether it’s called a hotel or residence, four stars should indicate a standard guests can expect, and that wasn’t delivered. About the water, please don’t make things worse. It was measured on site because we asked, and it was 28°, NOT near 32° or 33° as you said. Reading the reviews, this seems to be an ongoing issue you’re trying to disregard. Where’s the improvement you mention in every comment? Cheers.

The accommodation was nice and the location was great. But little things felt cheap: wifi that was basically unusable, one towel for the week, one toilet roll for six people for the whole week, and a few other silly things. The main reason for my three stars is the sewage flood in the ski boot room. It was fixed, but nobody cleaned up afterwards. The leak itself is one thing; leaving raw sewage to dry out is unacceptable.

We had to leave the first apartment because it reeked of urine. The replacement was filthy too: faeces on the toilet floor, mould in the coffee mugs, urine stains on the mattresses, and a horrible smell from the dishwasher. The oven couldn’t be used, the sink was cracked and dirty with mould coming from the crack, and the shower had mould and heavy staining, with human matter on the tiles and in the plughole. Even reception was dirty. The website photos are a joke. I had to call three times before someone came to clean, but some things can’t be cleaned, they need replacing. I can’t stress this enough: don’t stay here. We ski and snowboard around the world three times a year, and this was the worst accommodation we’ve had.

Someone used the original key to rob our room, without damaging the door. Staff laughed at us, the police couldn’t resolve it, and the hotel manager blamed us. There’s a universal key, and I don’t trust anyone at the hotel. It has no insurance, security, cameras, or safe.
