The dirty sheets were the first thing that made this stay miserable. They had hair and stains from previous guests, and the rooms themselves are old, basic, and look untouched for years. Dinner was awful too, with burnt canned vegetables and dry potatoes that seemed reheated over and over. Breakfast brought burnt croissants and yesterday's stale bread. The staff were shockingly unprofessional from the start, making the whole experience unpleasant. I feel like I wasted a day of my holiday here. Auberge les Mélézes in Tignes was a depressing disaster. Avoid it.

We paid 270€ a night for a triple room, which felt very expensive given how remote it is and how there's nothing around. We didn't see any staff at all, and the bar was unattended. Breakfast cost 15€ and was underwhelming.

For what we paid, this chalet/hotel was excellent value. It has the best of both styles, and the staff are friendly, helpful, and around from early morning until midnight. There's ski hire in the basement boot room. Meals were good too, from breakfast to the lovely homemade cake and biscuits with coffee in the afternoon, then decent, filling three-course dinners. I'd happily stay again, and might even come back in summer.

The staff make you feel like friends, and the welcome was so warm. The bar is great, and the planned dinner is made to a really high standard. If you're watching your budget, or especially if you're a rider, this is the best place to stay in tignes.

The location and food are good, the hot tub is nice, and the staff are generally very helpful. It's a nice chalet hotel at the cheaper end of the market. But the advertised afternoon tea and cakes, served from 1500 to 1800, were apparently only available at 1630 if the other guests hadn't already eaten everything. I'm paying to have cake in the afternoon, so excuses didn't mean much, and the staff seemed uninterested when I raised it. There's no filter coffee in the afternoon either. The mattresses are very soft and the curtains are thin.
