Hideout Tignes - Hostel

The food is high quality and affordable, and the staff, who are English and French natives, are very friendly. It’s a great little hostel, mostly full of Brits chatting away. You can’t cook for yourself, which is the only downside. There’s generally no parking, unless you get lucky.

The location and ski amenities are good, breakfast is good, and there’s a nice communal area with lovely staff. But it’s super loud. People came and went all night, playing loud music at 1 am and banging doors, and someone left very noisily at 3 am. Guests didn’t seem to respect that others were trying to sleep. There’s not much sound insulation, so you hear everything from the floors above, next door, and people entering the property. If you’re looking for a bit of a party, this could be the place. For a good night’s sleep or if you’re a light sleeper between ski days, I’d book somewhere else.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the food was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful too. The whole package was very good for a great price.

The views are lovely, and the staff were really helpful. We also ate at the restaurant downstairs, the food was amazing and definitely worth trying.
