La Sachette

We had fondue and raclette, both delicious, with really tasty cheese, a great salad, and charcuterie. The waitress from the UK was welcoming too. Inside, it has a cabin feel that made us feel like we were in the mountains. Loved this place in Tignes!

Warm, cozy, and just right after a day on the slopes. The service was excellent, and the servings of delicious food were generous.

This is the sort of village restaurant where you take your time over good wine and a conversation with your partner. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is super, though don’t expect everything to come out very fast. It’s a very old place opposite the church, people dress nicely, and the food definitely isn’t Mac Do style. For me, it’s somewhere I bring my love and family to make lovely memories. Sometimes there are singers, but that’s random, and those nights are usually BIG. :)

We’d heard the food at La Sachette was lovely and were looking forward to the evening, but we left with a bitter taste. We arrived and asked the man at the front for a table for seven and a high chair. A rude woman at the back shouted “No” without even looking up, though the man helping us did find a table in the back room. The high chair, if it can be called that, wasn’t suitable for our one-year-old, and it was the only one they had. After ordering drinks, we tried to order food, but four of our choices weren’t available. There was no apology, not even a smile. Our child had become upset by the chair, so we told the man serving us we wanted to pay for the drinks and leave. The poor service and missing menu items spoiled the evening.
