We had four people and enough room, though the room was only what you'd expect for the price. The only problem was cleanliness, and even that wasn't a major issue. Everything else was hard to fault: lifts, shops, restaurants, and bars are all nearby. We'd definitely return.
Val Claret is a wonderful resort, with places to go snowshoeing or sledding. For a ski resort, the shopping centers are reasonably priced, and you can find all the essentials there, from a pharmacy and tobacconist to a supermarket, restaurants, bars, and a sports shop.
The balcony gave us an interesting view of the Tufs chairlift, nearby surroundings, ski runs, and mountains. The studio itself is 27m² and works well for two. There are two bunk beds in the hallway, better suited to children, plus a sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is small but practical, with a microwave, ceramic hob, small oven, small dishwasher, and a fridge beneath the counter. We were pleasantly surprised by how many dishes and kitchen items there were. There's a TV with about 10 channels, so you'll probably want to connect to the internet instead. The residence is just a few meters from the Tufs chairlift, making it easy to ski in and out. One drawback is that the windows and doors don't seal well. There's only one radiator under the window, and it struggles to warm the room properly. With curtains, though, it should be fine. I recommend it.
Step outside, put on your skis, and you're off. Hard to beat.
The apartments are quiet and ideally placed at the foot of the slopes. You can ski straight in and out, and the Val Claret shopping center is nearby too.
