Résidence Chalet Alpina

The location is brilliant, close to the ski lifts, but I wouldn’t stay here again. My room was tiny, and the walls were so thin I kept waking up to noise from people in the stairwell. We were also fined twice over noise complaints when all we were doing was breathing in our room. I’d choose one of the many other hotels nearby.

Val Claret is small enough to get around on foot, and the shuttle stop right by the hotel makes it easy to visit the other villages in Tignes. The Val Claret chairlifts are an easy walk away, and having ski storage at the building entrance was handy. I stayed in an apartment during opening week at Tignes and really enjoyed it. It was roomy for me and my dog, well equipped, and had a balcony with a mountain view. The price was great value and the place exceeded my expectations. Oliver was a lovely, welcoming host, always accommodating and full of useful advice on where to eat and what to expect during the ski station’s opening week. I hope to come back soon.

The people working there were friendly and great. The facilities are a little dated, but they do the job. Breakfast was OK, and there’s a nice bar downstairs. A cozy chalet, good value for money, and only a short walk to the chairlifts. Recommend!

The staff were pleasant and kind, and service was always quick and efficient. The rooms, though, weren’t as tidy as they should’ve been. We found someone’s hair on a pillow, a vape in the couch and a bottle of sedatives under the bed. For that low level of cleanliness and the poor interior, C. Alpina is expensive. The photos I included look better than the apartment did in person.
