Residence Santa Terra

The staff were very helpful, and the residence is close to the ski lift, which makes for a great location. Everything was as described, and our family had only a positive experience staying here.

The village is small and welcoming, and Santa Terra is just a few minutes’ walk from the ski lift. We had a lovely family week in a mountain-facing apartment. It was spacious, with a balcony running the full length, and the boot room lockers were large. The lobby is roomy and nicely presented, and the spa has pools, a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There’s a gym too, though we didn’t use it. Staff were warm and helpful, including Jessie, the manager’s dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. There are also a couple of restaurants and bars and a small mini market nearby.

Our three-bedroom apartment looked out toward the dam, with mountains all around, and there was plenty of space. Each bedroom was about the size of a hotel room and had its own bathroom. Reception service was excellent, and parking on the lower levels was convenient. We had a great five-day summer stay at Résidence Santa Terra and would love to return in winter to enjoy all of Tignes.

The spa looks lovely at first, but the pool was always very cold, and the jacuzzi felt about as warm as you'd expect the pool to be. After skiing, the point of a spa is to warm up and relax, so they really need to sort that out. The apartments themselves are spacious and well equipped, with a short walk to the ski lift and a couple of nice restaurants and a grocery store nearby. It’s more of a look-after-yourself rental than a hotel, though the bread service was great.
