Communication with the owner was entirely virtual and extremely unpleasant because of his arrogance. The apartment was dirty, smelled awful, and the service was nonexistent. He also asks for a €300 deposit and won't return it unless you clean the place, which is hard to believe. Maybe that explains the smell. Consider yourself warned, and good luck.

We never stayed there and ended up paying extra for another hotel. We had booked on August 26 for the night of the 27th, then had to cancel because our route changed. I contacted the owner to work something out. I would've changed our itinerary just to use the paid booking and sleep there after a very long journey, but he wouldn't accept the reservation again or refund us. We had to find another hotel at double the cost. I've travelled a lot and never had this kind of experience with a customer. The owner's rudeness was striking. I won't consider staying at his place if I pass through France again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Thanks, and have a good day.
