Hotel Acanthid

The welcome was warm, and they helped carry my bags to the room. The hotel itself is pleasant, but there were cockroaches throughout the shared spaces, even inside the breakfast room microwave. At night, bedbugs kept biting me and I couldn't sleep. I was placed here by the emergency homeless hotline (115) when I urgently needed somewhere to stay. That was a bad call on their part. I wouldn't send friends or family here.

I've stayed here twice, and both times I was bitten all over by bedbugs. When I lifted the sheets, they were crawling with them. The manager blamed the guests, lol, and said they boil the sheets and disinfect everything!!!!

The opera house view was the one pleasant part, though that's hardly what matters most in a hotel room. My room was dusty, with just one outlet in the bathroom, and the walls were so thin I could hear the neighbors talking. The air conditioning didn't work, the shower was cold, and an ugly sign blocked the balcony. Avoid this place.

I went out to get something to eat and left my wallet in the room. When I came back, €300 had mysteriously vanished from it. So take all your belongings with you whenever you leave your room, and be very careful here.
