Where is the basic room for storing and securing luggage? The toilets leaked, while the hotel presents itself as eco-friendly. Isn't that greenwashing? Breakfast costs extra and is expensive, yet there weren't even basic options like bananas or cooked eggs, despite claims of fresh fruit. I also personally saw what I consider illegal financial practices around bookings. Extra prepaid money was blocked on my debit card for my entire stay, supposedly as a reserve, which lets your finance department speculate with millions of euros daily. Meanwhile, the night shift concierge, who is meant to prepare breakfast early, isn't paid properly. There was no free parking, and money was taken from my bank card as if to create a mandatory booking process. Is this a hotel joke, or another fraud by ACCOR / All hotels group?

Dogs are allowed for an extra €5, which is a plus, and the hotel is conveniently close to the port, about a 20-minute walk from the train station. The place is starting to feel worn down, though, and basic things like cups and a kettle are missing. Sound carries easily from neighboring rooms and the corridor. For the price, I expected a bit more quality.

We stayed one night in a room that worked well for a stopover. It had two beds, a bathroom, and a small shelf for bags and personal things, though the room itself was a little small. Cleanliness was okay and the value for money was top. The hotel is in a good neighborhood near the harbor, around an eight-minute walk away.

The breakfast had a tasty, varied selection, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and a good size. I was especially impressed by how well they kept out noise, so I slept peacefully. The desk is staffed around the clock, which was really convenient. The location also worked well for travel by sea or train, with easy access and the city center nearby. Most of all, the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. ibis budget Toulon Centre exceeded my expectations, offered great value, and I'd gladly return. Five out of five for staff, location, room comfort, breakfast, service, and the stay overall.
