Hôtel Héliot, Cosy Places by Charme & Caractère

Eliot Hotel made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The team were warm, helpful, and made us feel like more than just guests. It's a comfortable, clean, charming place with a relaxed, homely feel. The location is hard to beat, right in the heart of Toulouse, with the historic center, local bistros, shops, and train station all a short walk away. A real find, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone coming to Toulouse.

The proprietor was so kind and spoke both French and English. My friend and I stayed one night and were completely charmed by this adorable hotel. Our room had lovely high ceilings and was quiet. We booked a room with two twin beds about a month and a half ahead and got a good rate. It's on a quiet street just off a major boulevard leading to the city center. Highly recommend!

Frédéric's hospitality made our eleven-night holiday in Toulouse in October 2024 outstanding. He was thoughtful and kind throughout, responded quickly from our first contact, suggested the simplest and most economical way to get from the airport, and arranged a taxi back when central Toulouse was locked down for “La Machine!” His restaurant recommendations were reliable, too. We couldn't have asked for more personal, attentive service, even at a five-star hotel. The location of Hôtel Héliot made it easy to reach the main sights, restaurants, and shops, and the rest of the city was accessible on foot or by public transit. On request, we could use secure, convenient parking. Our large, quiet room was just as pictured on the website, with everything we needed. The quality mattress made for good sleep after long days exploring Toulouse and on day trips, and both the bedroom and well-appointed bathroom were maintained and cleaned daily. We also enjoyed the first-rate viennoiseries and baguette at breakfast. Hôtel Héliot was a restful oasis in Occitanie, and we highly recommend it.

The personal contact with the people running the hotel gives it a special feel that's missing from modern hotels with lots of rooms. Whether that's your thing or not, I liked it and would come back another day. It's in a great spot for visiting the city, and the hotel itself is nice. My only complaints are the eco shower, which gives only a little water even though I understand the reason, and the lack of an elevator. Carrying luggage to the third floor is a challenge, though descending to the level where daily life happens has its own special moment.
