Le Rive Gauche

I'm insanely disappointed and frustrated with the ophthalmology department. The lack of respect for patients' time, strange communication problems that seem mostly IT-related, and a doctor who barely speaks to or looks at you during an assessment are all shameful. Across the 4-5 years I've been a patient here, the department has never been on time. I've had to come fairly often for a couple of those years, and every appointment means arriving armed with kilograms of patience. The wait is at least an hour, sometimes well over three. I know they're busy and doctors need time, but they shouldn't overbook or make slots too short. The delays are disrespectful of my time and schedule, and surely stressful for staff and doctors too. I have to take a whole morning or afternoon off for an appointment. Do they think that's normal? Recently I found out they had created three different files for me, which confused the doctor a couple of times. I don't know why, since I haven't changed anything on my personal profile, and whenever I'm asked if I'm a patient, I say, 'of course.' I once had painful irritation from my lenses and asked for an emergency appointment. I wanted to see my usual doctor, who knows my history and could make the process easier. On the phone I was put on hold and got no real answer, so I went to the emergency service. They told me they thought it was an allergy to a product, but without my full file they could only offer generic medication. Later, at an appointment with my doctor, she didn't bat an eye when I explained what happened and didn't even check the products I'd brought to make sure they were fine. If I could give the ophthalmology section zero stars, I would.
