Novotel Toulouse Purpan Airport

Parking is plentiful and secure behind gates, and the front office staff were energetic, fun, and always happy to help with questions. The hotel is near the Airbus factory, with a bus stop to Toulouse Centre. Breakfast is great, with plenty of fresh choices and freshly pressed orange juice. The place is a bit older, but clean and well maintained. It was too cold for us to try the outdoor pool.

The hospitality team made us feel welcome and special. There was free parking, an outdoor swimming pool, and nice snacks available to order any time of day.

Breakfast and restaurant staff were attentive and kind, with a smile every day. The reception could be better, though one young woman in particular could have been friendlier. The pool is clean and functional, and the terrace around it is nice for a drink in the shade of the trees. I'd recommend it. The hotel is a bit old, but still a good option if you want a quiet place to rest. Rooms are functional, generally nice and quiet, though the curtains are a real pain: sunlight comes in at 6am as if there were no curtains. The green spaces could also be better maintained. Mowing the lawn at 6am makes a lot of noise, and should be done once most people are awake.

The pleasant staff and pretty good breakfast were the bright spots. The hotel was clean, but otherwise felt old and cheap, and was incredibly disappointing for the brand. It's very expensive for what it is and doesn't deserve to carry the Novotel name. I've stayed in better ibis budgets. The room was uninspiring and had only the bare minimum. The mattress has that familiar bedside slump you get when places never change its orientation. The walls seem paper-thin, so you hear every door and window opening and closing. The air conditioning doesn't work, which leaves you opening windows onto a very busy motorway and airport. You can still hear them with the windows shut.
