Plaza Hotel Capitole Toulouse

We came to Toulouse for the first time to see the Christmas markets, and the location was perfect. The room was very clean, if basic. There was no lotion or shower cap, so keep that in mind when packing, though we managed fine. I loved having instant espresso and lovely Kusmi tea in the room. We couldn’t agree on the beds: I found them hard, while my husband thought they were fine. The key cards were more of a hassle. We had to get them reprogrammed several times, even though after the first time we kept them away from our phones. The staff were friendly and apologized, but the repeated trips to fix the keys were inconvenient.

We couldn't use the toilet, shower, or sink when we arrived because the hotel had no water. It only came back after 9 pm. Traveling with our 7-month-old made it especially awful: we couldn't wash our hands or bathe our daughter. They offered no compensation and told us to email management. We've written multiple times and never had a reply. We shouldn't have to pay the full room rate for a stay without water. I'm posting this in the hope they contact us and reimburse us.

Right in the middle of downtown, the location is excellent. The rooms feel a little old and could use some improvement. For instance, there's no electrical outlet beside the bed, and most rooms don't have a view.

The room was a good size and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious with excellent amenities. The shower over the bath could be better. Staff were friendly, and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars nearby. The metro is only a few minutes away, and the location is perfect.
