Residence Sweetly Alexandrin

I lived here for at least 10 months and did like the room at first. But the manager often didn’t respond to my emails even after reading them for a few days, and when I moved out I was charged an unbelievable cleaning fee despite having cleaned the room very well. The rent was expensive every month, so I was really unhappy with the service. I hope this helps someone. I’m not sure other French dorms would be much different in this respect, though they might be more affordable than this one. I wouldn’t recommend this dorm to foreigners.

The building and rooms are modern and pleasant, but that didn’t make up for how poorly I was treated during my stay from the end of August until the end of December 2022. Staff entered my room while I was away without telling me, then removed a mirror because it wasn’t in my contract, leaving dangerous splinters on the floor. My room faced the street, and it took them more than a month to put up curtains, so passers-by could see inside and potentially take pictures or worse. When I left, they also deducted an extra 150€ from my deposit for cleaning. In their view, I should have cleaned well enough that they wouldn’t need to call a professional, even though I’d stayed there for a long time. There were other unpleasant experiences too, but I’ll leave it there. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to students.

I had an amazing 10 months at this residence! The gym is nice, the backyard is pretty, and the lounge area is stylish. The staff were always lovely and responsive, and the administration organized lots of different events. Tressie especially was so considerate and hardworking. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did, and have a good one! :)))

The garden is lovely, well maintained, and full of fresh vegetables, plants, and flowers. I stayed here for two and a half months while on trial with Toulouse FC, and found the rooms clean and the location in Toulouse perfect. The staff were professional and helpful, and the service was excellent. A really good place to stay, with a green feel.
