Les Amandiers Tain l'Hermitage

I’d happily stay here again. The bed was comfortable and supportive, and the room was quiet, so I slept really well. It’s an easy walk into town and up to the Hermitage hill. Everything was very clean, right down to the balcony furniture, which didn’t have a speck of dust. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was simple but good, with surprisingly good coffee. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms have been remodeled and are clean and a good size. The hotel is right in the middle of wine country, which makes it a great base for getting around the region. There’s no coffee machine or even a kettle, though.

The owners give the place a local, family feel, and there’s secure gated parking. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and fairly spacious compared with other European-style hotels. Services are pretty bare-bones, but that was fine for us. We wanted a simple hotel within walking distance of shops and restaurants, and this was exactly what we expected when we booked.

The morning coffee is wonderful, and the staff and owners are helpful. It’s a great place to stay around L'Hermitage. See you again 😆
