The warm welcome, chilled wine, and easy conversation made the evening a real highlight, along with a wonderful dinner and breakfast. I slept well in a beautiful room with a comfy bed. I found this lovely little village peaceful, and was glad I felt drawn to stay here instead of in Homps. I was visiting as part of my cycle trip from Royan to Sète, and the accommodation is only 3 or 4 km from the cycling path. It’s a real gem. I can only recommend staying with Wendy, Simon, and of course Loki. If you have time, stay more than one night, unlike me.

We arrived late on a Sunday in November, frazzled and with our two dogs, and found food and a welcome glass of wine waiting for us. Wendy, Simon, and Loki the dalmatian were fantastic hosts, warm and comforting, and incredibly helpful. We were going to sign the contract on our own home the next day, and Wendy's advice and knowledge were invaluable. Everyone, including the doggies, gave the warm, cosy room a thumbs up. The bed was very cosy and we slept so well. Breakfast set us up for the big day ahead. We recommend this place 100%, the welcome and hospitality really are stunning.

It was such a lovely experience meeting Wendy and Simon and staying at Maison du Coquelicot. We really enjoyed the atmosphere they created in the house, as well as the food they served.

We learned a lot about the village and the amazing countryside from Wendy, who knows so much about the area and was happy to share it. That made our first visit to this part of France even more interesting. Wendy and Simon were so welcoming and friendly, and Loki the lovely Dalmatian was too. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in beautiful southern France. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the meals Chef Simon made were so good that thinking about them makes me hungry again. The beds were comfortable, the local wine superb, and the courtyard atmospheric. There were interesting walks, lovely weather, and plenty to see and do. We felt relaxed, and I've run out of room for all the other boxes I wanted to tick.

The hosts were wonderful and warm, and the spacious period building made for a welcoming stay. Our bedroom was quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. They were very accommodating to cyclists, with secure bike storage and plenty of help. Wendy was so hospitable and knew the area inside out, and Simon cooked an excellent dinner for us to share with the other guests in the courtyard under the stars. Loki was charming too, and we even got taken along to a local party. A superb stay for cycle tourists, with an excellent dinner on site.
