B&B Hotel Tours Nord 2 La Petite Arche

The bed was comfortable and I slept well, so the stay itself was a pleasant surprise for my first B&B hotel, which a friend had recommended. I wasn't sure what to expect. The welcome at reception felt a little cool, though that might have been a language issue, or perhaps because I'm from the UK. My first-floor room was up the stairs, as there's no lift. Breakfast was the letdown. The selection was very limited, just bread or toast and cereal, with no eggs or bacon despite what I'd been told. I wouldn't pay extra for it next time. Still, it's a good budget hotel.

We got in at midnight and had no trouble getting access. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable, though it was a tight fit for four people and our dog. It was fine for a night of sleeping and washing up. The hotel gates didn't seem to be locked overnight. There's a super boulangerie across the road, Ange.

Breakfast was enjoyable, especially the croissants, including the chocolate ones, though there weren't enough seats for all the guests. I found the coffee below par compared with B&B hotels in Germany. The rooms were very clean, with a good, practical bathroom and enough space. It's a very nice hotel near Tours, with a couple of restaurants nearby, including Buffalo Grill, where hotel guests can get a discount after checking in. Overall, we had a really good stay.

A really disappointing stay. I won't be coming back.
