The car noise from the nearby motorway didn't bother us, though it might bother others. The cleaning needs attention: the shower drain was packed with hair and clogged from the start, and the coffee maker was so scaled up that we had to clean it with white vinegar. The pool pump stayed off all weekend, leaving quite a few little insects above the water, and there were no sun loungers. In the evening, the single light on the terrace wasn't nearly enough. Two airliners passed very low overhead during our weekend. It was startling, but luckily it only happened twice.

We had a really good time at the villa and annex, especially having barbecue lunches. The garden and indoor pool were fantastic. The nearby highway was no problem for us, and although a few planes passed overhead because of the airfield in Tours, they weren't too disturbing. A great place to make some lovely memories, and one I'd happily recommend.

We were met with a lovely plate of sweets, and the owner was so helpful when we arrived at the gîte. He helped unload our things and arranged for the medical equipment to be set up. The place is roomy and comfortable, in a lovely setting, and we even got a daily visit from a squirrel. We'd gladly come back.

That first evening came with a tray of treats, and we got a friendly welcome too. The pool was nicely heated. Definitely recommend it!

It's a lovely spot, though the motorway is close by. The noise is a small downside and could bother some people.
