This was one of the worst customer experiences of my life. The owner needs to learn how to treat a client. I’ll keep it short. I’d booked three nights and paid already because I wanted a central place where I could work. My flight back to Paris was delayed by six hours, so I missed the first night and couldn’t drive to Tours so late. The owner messaged me, but I was exhausted and didn’t answer at 23:00. When I called at 11:45 the next morning, I could already hear aggression in his voice. He said I was lucky he was going to put my room on sale. He claimed it was legal. Even if it was, that’s no way to speak to a customer. He also asked me to leave the €4.50 hotel tax on the table. I went into the center for dinner and honestly forgot about the €4.50, but paid it that same day. The day before checkout, I asked the owner if I could work in the large living room the next day until 17:00. He said checking out at 12:00 meant leaving the building too. I pushed back, and he grudgingly said I could stay until 16:00 at most. To top it off, the room heating was off from 6 AM until 6 AM. I was freezing!
