Chambres d'hôtes La Dryade

The pool and grounds are lovely, and I found the rooms really comfortable, with air conditioning. Catherine was such a thoughtful, friendly, helpful host, and I adored her. Breakfast each morning was wonderful too. I can't recommend La Dryade enough. Staying here was one of the highlights of my trip.

The property has beautiful, spacious grounds full of nature, along with a wonderful pool and clean rooms. Catherine and Thomas were so welcoming and friendly, and went out of their way to help with dinner reservations, market recommendations, and any other suggestions we needed. We first booked a stay at La Dryade as part of a trip, but liked it so much that we changed our plans and spent the rest of our holiday there. It made a beautiful base in Provence, and I highly recommend it. I'll be back myself.

The garden felt more like a park, and it was beautifully kept. We also loved the pool, which was a good size for swimming. Our room was nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed, a pleasant bathroom, and a rainforest shower. Each room has its own entrance and terrace. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh bread and croissants, homemade jam, cheese, and homemade fruit salad. The owner did everything he could to make our stay special. We don't speak French very well, but he chatted with us slowly, so we could understand, and gave us great tips for trips and restaurants. The estate is 10 minutes from Saint Maximin, and a car is needed to get around easily. In Tourves, we liked L'Avenue, and there are some nice restaurants in Saint Maximin too. We loved Le Jardin D'Édouard in Bras. There are lots of vineyards nearby, and Domaine Lafoux was great for a tasting, with English-speaking staff. Hikers will enjoy Le Massif de St Baume. For the beach, drive down to Hyéres and take the boat to Proquerolles. Merci beaucoup for a wonderful honeymoon stay, Antoine!
