There are just three rooms in the castle, plus one separate room with a kitchen by the entrance. The hosts are wonderful and make you feel at home among the authentic 18th-century interiors. A unique little Bourbonnais castle.

The park is well worth seeing, and the breakfasts feel fit for royalty. I spent two nights here feeling like a lord of the castle, and loved being able to step into history in such a well-preserved place. It’s a rare pleasure, made even better by the owner’s warm welcome and friendly manner.

The grounds have a peaceful, wild beauty, and the owners are so welcoming. Inside, the old building and rooms furnished with antiques and carefully chosen details make a lovely impression. We found the chateau by chance on our drive to the Atlantic coast, and liked it enough to book again straight away for the return journey. It’s a little too far away for a weekend, which is a shame, but we’ll come back to this enchanting place. Thank you for such memorable moments.

The Bourbonnais is a magnificent region, with landscapes and heritage that are too often overlooked. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trip there. The house and grounds are like a dream, and the hosts are absolutely charming.
