We loved the quiet, delightful area, the easy parking, and the location. There was a nice snack bar by the beach, with more restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The place was clean and well equipped, and otherwise everything was excellent. We booked an apartment expecting a regular apartment, so we were surprised that many units are Petit Maisons on two floors. My wife struggles with stairs, and our first unit had a spiral staircase, which we weren't happy with. The onsite manager switched us to one with a safer straight staircase, though it had no handrail. It still wasn't an apartment, but it was a compromise.

We came back for another visit and the website still had the same issues. Online check-in only works with a French language setting or a French address or phone number. Not all phones have the same number of digits as French ones. The stay itself was perfect: the rooms and location were wonderful. The staff onsite are simply wonderful too, just as they were on our earlier visits.

The young woman at the Odalys Residence reception was kind and professional, always ready to sort out technical snags or other issues that come with tourist residences. Our two-week rental was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had a small but spacious, well-proportioned two-story cottage. One drawback was the steep staircase with no handrail, which felt like a safety risk for guests. The residence is ideally placed between the sea and the town center, making it a very pleasant base for a stay in this beautiful part of Brittany. We highly recommend Odalys Residence in Trégastel.

A nightmare, in short. The toilet was so cramped you had to sit sideways, and the curtains wouldn't stay up. There was nowhere to store clothes apart from two cubbies in a tiny wardrobe. The fridge was so noisy we had to switch it off at night. No bedside lamps, though there wasn't room for them anyway. And the pillows were enormous, more like fenders on an ocean liner. The bed wasn't really a bed, just a sofa bed with a mattress so uncomfortable that you'd have to put it on the floor to even think about sleeping for a few hours. Appalling. Avoid at all costs!
