The food and local wine were a hit with everyone, and the owners handled breakfast and dinner brilliantly. We had taken over the whole B&B and hotel for a week, with 14 people coming from Europe, the USA and Australia for a big birthday celebration late last year. That made it easy for some to stay a few days and others the whole week. The place has loads of character and space, with beautifully decorated rooms, several with en-suite bathrooms. We also loved the garden, pool and restaurant atmosphere. Best birthday party ever!

Treignac and the surrounding area are lovely, with plenty to do. At the nearest lake, kids can enjoy the Aquapark, and it's a nice area for motorcycling too. Just remember to plan around French lunchtime. Back at this charming former hotel, the garden, pool and lounge area are great for a relaxing break. The beds were excellent, the bathroom had a rain shower, and our hosts were very friendly. We have to come back.

We stopped here a few years back and loved it. The place is beautiful and really interesting, spread over three or four levels. The food was superb. 11 out of 10.

Yvon and Han are wonderful cooks, and we really enjoyed everything they made. After ten nights at Art de Vivre, we felt right at home thanks to the warm welcome. It's an authentic French building with a lovely garden for swimming and sunbathing. We'll definitely make the drive back to be pampered again. Kees and Lisette
