Les Jardins du Lac

The staff were friendly and breakfast was nicely presented, though the 9-10h window felt short. Dinner was very good, but wine cost about five times the purchase price. We took a lovely walk around the lake and rested on the bed before dinner after our seven-hour drive. The pool wasn't heated, and when we arrived it was being cleaned along with the jacuzzi, so we couldn't relax the way we'd planned. We did manage a dip in the amazing jacuzzi at 8am before our next six-hour drive. The pool won't be heated, as they didn't close the cover. The rooms were clean and looked new, but the hotel itself seemed a little run down. The Terra e had not been cleaned, neither had the one in front of the restaurant, which made the place look even more neglected. Broken furniture is an eyesore and should be thrown out. A little TLC, such as sweeping the terraces by the arrival rooms, would make a real difference and help guests overlook the hotel's age and wear. We arrived at 4pm, but still had to wait for the room to be checked before we could finally go in.
