Gite With a Beautiful View of Farmlands in Trouville-sur-mer

Philippe is a fabulous host, and the place has everything you could need. It’s absolutely fabulous and very close to the local town.

The apartment is lovely and well equipped, and the host is pleasant and helpful. It’s ideally located for a peaceful stay. We’ll definitely come back for another weekend next May.

We spent three nights here and really enjoyed it. The apartments sit among lovely greenery, everything was clean, and they had all the amenities we needed. The host was friendly too. Definitely worth recommending!

The peaceful setting was a real plus, and the location worked well. We appreciated having private access, good amenities, and bicycles to use for free. By the end of the stay, though, our verdict was just “OK.” Cleanliness was disappointing, and our host’s welcome felt rather cold. When we tried to give feedback, he blamed us instead of accepting it. The complimentary drinks were half off, but had expired a year earlier. The room cupboard was damaged, and the toaster was dirty when we arrived. We hadn’t used it before arriving, but our host apparently thought that was our fault. There was hair between the mattress protector and the sheets, which he also said was ours, and spiders in some corners. He put that down to us being “city dwellers unfamiliar with country life.” We’re from the countryside, and even our apartment doesn’t have that many cobwebs. I’ll leave it there. We were surprised by how hard it was for our host to hear these comments, which we meant constructively, especially since we still gave the place a very good rating on Booking.com. If you want quiet and to be near Deauville, it’s a perfect spot. A warm welcome and a constructive conversation were harder to come by.
