This place gets one star only because the system wouldn’t let me give it none. The electrical installation is unsafe, the fire detectors don’t work, and the much-promoted air conditioning isn’t there. After a month on the road and stays in apartments across Europe, this was by far the worst one.

The key wouldn’t lock the room. The host told us to call if anything came up, but 15 minutes after we reported the problem, his phone was off. It seemed like he knew about the issue. We had to go to dinner with all our filming and photo gear unsecured, carrying the most expensive equipment with us instead of relaxing. There was still no answer to our calls or messages when we left in the morning.

We had a nice stay in the owner’s apartment. He’s kind, friendly, and speaks English too.

The services were very high quality, the comfort excellent, and the price competitive. The historic building has lots of character, with a tasteful modern renovation. Everything went perfectly, from booking through departure. I highly recommend it. Reading some of the negative comments, I’d be curious to see those people’s own homes!
