The room was basic and barely furnished. There was no mattress protector, and the foam mattress felt very poor quality. Cleaning had been missed in places, with dust behind the bedside tables, and the curtains were dirty and let in light. The water bottle hadn't been replaced, and the walls did little to block the sound of showers and toilets from nearby rooms. At the restaurant, the welcome was friendly, though staff talked openly in front of customers about the place's operating problems. The meal was a mess: bland dishes, little sign of preparation, stale ingredients, and even pebbles in the salad. The fries looked brown and dried out from being cooked again and again. Flies were everywhere, and the fruit salad had clearly been sitting in its juice for a while, with sediment at the bottom. The staff's routines added to the strange impression. The cook went out to the terrace for a drink and a cigarette, dealt with the trash, and put away tablecloths before heading back to the kitchen. During the meal, the waitress vacuumed the adjoining room and cleaned chairs, then returned to serving. It had the feel of a kitchen-nightmare restaurant, still in its original state.

We had a reservation for five and all enjoyed the lovely daily menu. The owner was so friendly. Excellent restaurant, thank you!

The terrace is a lovely spot, and getting there is easy since the parking lot is right next door. Dogs and mothers-in-law are welcome too. This is an unpretentious restaurant with quick, efficient, friendly service. The food is classic rather than haute cuisine, but portions are generous and the ingredients fresh and good quality. For the price, it's perfectly satisfactory. A good place.

We found the place by chance and were warmly welcomed. The little lounge was lovely for an aperitif, and the service was excellent. They even gave us a discount for the wait, though it really wasn't long. We'll definitely come back.
