Our server was kind, but the whole stop for a beer was awkward and took a long time. We had no dining reservation, so the manager had to be contacted, which took around 15 minutes. Then we offered to look at a menu to speed things up, and waited another 15 minutes. We did eventually get a beer, though there was confusion about whether we should have been served one at all. We weren’t the only people who stopped in, and it seemed like unnecessary work for the server. I’d suggest not dropping by, and a sign saying reservations only would have helped.

The room was quite dirty: old, scratchy sheets, dust on the side tables, and fluff in the bathroom. We could hear everything through the walls, even our neighbors’ conversations, so it was hard to rest. After a weekend there, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The front desk managers were not friendly, somehow superb.

We got in late, but the owners made us feel so welcome. They cooked us an outrageously delicious meal and served a lovely local red. A super place, with a great kitchen.

Lunch with our group of walkers and friends was great, with good food, friendly service, and a lovely welcome. Merci. On reviendra.

The entrecote steak cost around 20 euros and was tough as old boots. One of the worst meals I’ve ever had.
