Appartement Pra-Loup, 1 pièce, 4 personnes - FR-1-165A-6

The agency was great to deal with, and the apartment was in very clean, almost new condition. It was laid out really well and had loads of storage. There were plenty of amenities too: an oven, microwave, two coffee makers, raclette grill, fondue set, toaster, deep fryer, and more. Great stay.

From February 1st to 4th, 2024, my friends and I rented a large chalet through a booking website, along with ski passes and equipment rental. The chalet was well equipped and had a jacuzzi on an adjoining terrace. We used it two nights in a row without any problem. We left the keys in the mailbox as the agency asked. There was no inventory at check-in. On arrival, we discovered that the ski passes hadn't been delivered, so we had to resolve that ourselves. We had also paid over €50 for sheets, only to find there were no pillows in the chalet. On February 9th, I got an email saying the jacuzzi was broken and asking how we'd used it. I explained that we had used it and hadn't noticed any particular issue. After that, they accused us of deliberately damaging it and, worse, making noise at night. They even claimed the police had been called over excessive noise, which is false. We checked with the local police. We were five couples of doctors in our thirties, and hadn't held any particular party. The agency had my credit card details and charged me 450 euros without any proof that we were responsible. As I understand it, case law says that without an entry inventory, damage at departure can't be attributed to us without proof. Even after a mediator got involved, we never got our deposit back.

The accommodation itself was fine, but the cleanliness was only average and the bedding wasn't in great shape. The vacuum cleaner didn't work, so cleaning at the end of the stay was difficult. Pra Loup Vacances handled the booking and service impeccably, with charming staff who gave helpful advice.

A clean little apartment, decorated with good taste, made our short stay in Pra-Loup a pleasure. The agency gave us such a warm welcome, and the people there that day were lovely. Thank you so much, we'll be back.
