Le Prieur

The restaurant was very good, and the hotel staff were kind and helpful.

The team is what makes Le Prieuré stand out: everyone was welcoming and attentive, and the atmosphere felt friendly and homey. The hotel has been fully renovated, with thoughtful details, quality finishes, and materials that feel worthy of a five-star place. We spent two nights there and could easily have stayed for a third. We'd happily come back, and I wholeheartedly recommend it in Pra Loup. Congratulations on the project!

We felt at home at Hotel Le Prieuré, with a warm, family-like atmosphere that made it easy to relax and leave feeling refreshed. The owners, Sophie and Bruno, were generous and thoughtful, and their welcome really made a difference. The food was exceptional, and Rémi at the bar deserves a special mention for his creativity, precision, and great humor with the cocktails. A rare find, and we're already looking forward to coming back ❤️

The hotel shuttle was a useful extra alongside the free one to Pra Loup 1600, and there's secure ski storage. The Molanès cable car is just across from the hotel for access to the slopes, with La Godille rental shop right above it. The shop staff were attentive and helpful, though it gets very crowded at peak times. We were able to leave our bags on departure day, go skiing, and use the Nordic bath again before driving off. During our stay, we also enjoyed the Nordic bath and sauna at sunset, looking out at the mountains in golden light. We had cocktails by the fireplace, then dinner at the hotel's gourmet restaurant. Rémy made the cocktails, Bruno had arranged a window table, and the menu was exquisite. Sophie and Bruno welcomed us warmly for Valentine's Day and showed us around while our room was being prepared, so we could settle in before the usual check-in time. After two years of renovation, the four-star Hotel Le Prieuré looks magnificent, with wood, stone, and other natural materials bringing an authentic Ubaye Valley mountain feel. We stayed in room 8, a spacious 35 m² room with a lovely mountain view, sitting area, and open-plan bathroom with both a bathtub and shower. It had all the essentials, plus even a bottle of génépi liqueur. The staff went out of their way to make the stay special, and we got really helpful tips for restaurants, equipment rentals, and planning the trip. We hope to return to Pra Loup ❤️
